Working Principle & Structure
The thermal conductivity flow switch operates on the principle of heat transfer. It features two resistors within a sealed probe—one heated as a sensing resistor, and the other unheated as a reference resistor. When the medium flows, it carries away the heat from the sensing resistor, changing its resistance. The difference between the two resistors is used to determine the flow rate.
The probe is coated with an anti-scaling layer that effectively prevents scale, rust, and other pipeline contaminants from adhering, providing stronger anti-fouling capability and more stable performance.
Applications
This gas-liquid dual-purpose thermal flow switch is widely used in petrochemical, electric power, metallurgy, steel manufacturing, papermaking, food processing, water treatment, battery production, and more.
It is also suitable for pneumatic and hydraulic systems to monitor flow interruptions of circulating water, cutting fluid, and lubricating oil, and to provide dry-run protection for pumps.
