Module description
KW_3042 is developed using ADI's LT3042 high-performance low-dropout linear regulator chip, which can provide designers with a complete solution for high-precision power supply analog applications. This LDO features ultra-high PSRR performance with very low output noise and is designed for noise-sensitive applications such as PLLs, VCOs, mixers, low noise amplifiers (LNAs), power amplifiers (PAs), precision op amps, ADCs, DACs, and other high-performance analog circuits).


Module usage precautions
(1) It is recommended to use the input voltage less than +20V.
(2) When the load is large or the pressure difference is large, heat dissipation measures can be appropriately increased, otherwise the chip will be overheated or damaged.
(3) The module has no reverse connection and overvoltage protection, please check and compare the power supply carefully before powering on, otherwise the module will be damaged.
(4) The heating of the linear power supply is mainly determined by the input and output voltage difference and the load current. Please select and use the power supply module reasonably. Generally, a 30% margin should be reserved.
(5) The module is a step-down module, and the input voltage needs to be more than 1V above the output to stabilize the output.
FAQ
Q: Can the outputs of two modules be connected in parallel?
A: When the output voltage of the two modules is the same, the outputs can be connected in parallel, and the maximum output current is 400mA.
Q: Why can't the output voltage of the module be greater than the input voltage?
A: The module is a step-down module and cannot be boosted.
Q: Why can't the nominal ripple parameter be tested? There is a gap in measuring the ripple.
A: First of all, you need to have the correct measurement method, you can use Baidu power ripple measurement method by yourself. Secondly, the linear power supply can only suppress the ripple noise of the input signal, but it is not unlimited. If the switching power supply input is used and the noise is large, the linear power supply will not play much role, so generally the linear power supply is input through the transformer.
